BIRTHDAY PARTY PLANNING FOR CHILDREN

The day is getting closer and your getting nervous. What will you plan for your child's birthday party? How can you make things go as smooth as possible no matter what kind of party you have? Here are some guides or guidelines to help you along.
One month before birthday - Discuss with your child the kind of party she/he would like to have. If your child wants to have a special kind of party, for instance have a clown or magician present at the party, this is the time to locate, hire, and contract said clown or magician. Go to the internet and look under clowns or magicians. Once found call the performer and make sure the date and time is secure. If you need to put a deposit down, most performers will accept credit cards as well as personal checks, money orders, etc. at this time.
If your child wants a pizzas party, skating party etc., again, this is the time to book the party. In larger cities you might even consider an earlier appointment time depending on the popularity of the event in your community.
Three weeks before party - Shop for present if this is a part of your birthday party ritual.
Purchase any decorations you will need. Especially if you are going to get it on ebay. This gives you a good time to receive the product.
Two weeks before party - send out invitations. If it is a classroom party make sure that the teacher has approved the party as well as the compliance of the school. If it is going to be at your home, a pizza parlour, etc., make sure all is set. Plan the party bags if you are going to have them at this time. Again, you can purchase these at this time on ebay and it is still going to give you room.
One week before party - Order the birthday cake or cupcakes. If you are going to have a picture drawn on cake make sure the picture is at the bakery at this time.
Plan what birthday child will be wearing for birthday.
Plan what you and rest of family will be wearing.
Find out if there are going to be any travel problems and attempt to correct them at this time.
Day before party - Go over manners with your child. Explain what is expected of him/her. Thank you's, No thank you's, please, and pass are all appropriate words that should be discussed. Also, it is a good time to discuss the art of sharing. You don't have to share your new toys only to have them broken so soon after you get them, however, it is a good idea to discuss the art of sharing. Also, teach you child how to greet their friends at the door. Encourage them to treat their friends kindly. Share the game prizes with their friends, as well as cake, ice cream, etc. Teach them also how to thank their friends as they are saying good bye. And to show appreciation for the gifts that they received.
Plan a quick dinner meal on party day so you don't have to stress on what you are going to have to eat that night.

Party Day. Morning - It is always hectic on this day. Bath time first. Then make sure that everyone eats before they go to party if food is not going to be served.
Will finish this tomorrow - sorry - got tired. Didn't know how to put it on hold. Be back later. C
